Could Wagner be Without a Swimming Pool?

February 12th, 2008 by bbrunsing

Based on high maintenance costs, physical deteriation of the swimming pool and declining attendance over the past several years, the City Council has been discussing the future of the Wagner Swimming Pool. The City wants and needs your input about how you feel about the swimming pool and possible closure.

Please get involved and bring forth your concerns and ideas for a public meeting on February 13th, 2008, at Wagner City Hall at 7:00 pm.

If you have any further questions, please contact the City Finance Office at 384-3741.

Several years ago we had some condition issues with our pool in Tyndall. We had an active swim team and with volunteers on a committee, have been raising money to pay for the improvements which have been completed and much enjoyed by the kids and swim team. I think there is a fair amount of money still owed on that, but fundraising continues. Those on your committee could check with our pool association for details….I think the city office would be able to connect you with the proper individuals.
Now there is even evening exercise classes for adults on set days. We are thankful we have our pool and our wonderful park in Tyndall.
